Zero-knowledge private payments for a new Layer 2
Context
A team building a new Layer 2 network for payments. On a public chain, every amount and counterparty is visible to anyone, which rules it out for most businesses: no company wants its suppliers, payroll or margins on public view.
What we did
- Engineered zero-knowledge proofs that keep payment amounts and parties private, while the network still verifies that every payment is valid.
- Built the payment flows and tooling around them, so privacy is the default rather than an expert option.
How it ran
A small senior engineering team embedded with the protocol’s own team, shipping in stages to test networks before release.
What changed
- Payments that are private by default and still verifiable on-chain: the combination businesses need before they can use a public network.
Client names stay private. The work is real, and references are available on request.
